I have found a great substitute recipe for Hamburger Helper or Tuna Helper. The product is called Mrs. Leepers. The only thing you need to add is meat and either butter or oil. They have different flavors such as Beef Lasagna, Cheeseburger Mac, Chicken Alfredo, Beef Stroganoff and my favorite Creamy Tuna. They are really quick to make, about 20 minutes total, and an easy meal. Unfortunately I can’t find a website for them since the actual product is out of Italy, but the distributor is American Italian Pasta Company and their website is www.aipc.com. I have been able to find these products at some larger supermarket chains, such as Kroger, Harris Teeter and Lowe’s Foods as well as Whole Foods and Earth Fare. You really should try these at least once!

Glutino Crackers

I have recently found the best gluten-free crackers in the world! They are by Glutino and just called Crackers. They look like a Ritz cracker. I used to order them online directly from the company but now I can get them at two local stores. If you are in the North Carolina area Earth Fare carries them and in the Raleigh area you can get them from a fantastic smaller health care store called Harmony Farms. You can check them out at www.glutino.com. They are great with any spread, or peanut butter for extra protein, or you can even eat them all by themselves. Although, I personally prefer to eat them with something on them.
